Sportsfreunde der Sperrtechnik Deutschland e.V. - The dedicated followers of the fundamentals of lock-picking (r.s.) Rules of Engagement In the beginning was the lock... The first lock YOU try to pick and practice your skills on with your newly obtained pick set could be your own door lock. Get yourself a new cylinder and swap it for the old one to practice with. One of your buddies sharing the same pastime? Excellent, that makes 2 lock picking athletes and a total of 4 practice locks - 2 on each Euro-cylinder! As an honourable member of our club you should be aware that any violation of the rules listed below could lead to exclusion (charter § 5.I.): Rules: 1, It is your first and foremost duty to demonstrate respectability, integrity and technical professionalism. The security needs of third parties shall be respected at all times! 2, You are only allowed to open locks which belong to you. 3, While working on other locks you need the permission of the owner to do so. 4, Always act according to local legal requirements before opening a lock. Please be advised: If you open a lock for someone else, make sure you open for the right person, not to commit a criminal offence. If there is even the slightest doubt - do not open the lock! Check passport or ID of the client and note ID-No, Name, date of birth and place of birth. Record WHEN, WHERE and WHOM you opened it for. If in doubt retrospectively, do not hesitate to consult the local law enforcement agencies. These rules are to be continued.
